My (soon to be ex) employer actually FORGOT to pay me at the beginning of the month. They sent me a check when I reminded them that I actually DO exist. Then they apparently didn't update their accounting books because they paid me again for this payday - and didn't subtract the amount they already paid me. So, in essence, I got a GRAND bonus for December. Of course, I'll have to pay it back next month, but it's just enough to pay for my insurance for my own company.... poetic justice or just Santa's way of working little holiday miracles? A little of both I think.

Happy Holidays to you & yours, I hope you have a fabulous time!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10457000.post-1135295796197839512005-12-22T23:56:00.000+00:002005-12-22T23:56:00.000+00:00WDKY, Here's wishing you and your's a very happy h...WDKY, Here's wishing you and your's a very happy holiday.

Congrats on the job. We'd put mince pies, sherry and carrots out by the fireplace. Then I would make a big play of putting newspaper down to protect the carpet from Father Christmas's boots.

Once the kids got to bed I'd take bites out of the mince pies, get rid of the carrots (reindeer get very hungry) and then rub my wellies in mud and make footprints on the newspaper. Somehow the footprints just used to clinch it for them.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
