Well, I seem to have a bit of a problem with my Christmas tree, in that… well, there aren’t any left. At least, if there are, I can’t seem to find them. It’s my own fault, because I was going to get one on Saturday and then again on Sunday, but life just got in the way. I’m going to have another try tomorrow, because I’m off to hang some pictures for Mum following the redecoration of her flat (that’s “apartment” for you foreigners) and then have a bite to eat with her. I’m not going to panic just yet, but the kids will string me up by the whatsits if I don’t manage to find one.
My cute lawyer (CL) called me today, and it seems that she had a similar view about our date to mine… phew! We’ve made arrangements to see each other again on Friday, and I’m really looking forward to it… there’s a kind of “normality” about it after the weirdo’s I seem to have hooked up with of late, so I’m really going to keep my fingers crossed. And not try to get inside her knickers (ahem) for at least another couple of dates :-)
As for BR, I must admit a bit of a frolic would be fun, but if I’m seeing someone else it’s absolutely out of the question (unfortunately). And I have a suspicion that the general consensus of opinion might be spot on, and that she wants a little more than a frolic. Naughty girl.
So, to what I want for Christmas, then. It’s not a lot to ask of Santa, I wouldn’t have thought… I mean, you’d get a bit of change from £200,000 if you were to actually buy it. I give you, then… the Aston Martin Vanquish.

Ah, um, I hope this works...looks to be changing up again. hehe I haven't bought my tree yet (shhhhh). I'm sure if I don't find one I like, the babe won't really mind.
Nice choice of horsepower there T. Aston Martin is always a favorite for me to look at. lol
Well done Ruthie, you seem to be the only one to rise to the "where's the comment thingy gone" challenge :-)
I bought my Christmas tree yesterday. I usually leave it later as I hate to have it hanging around too long, but just as well I got in there as there weren't many left. Got it at a reduced price though! We'll decorate Wednesday evening I think.
I trust if Santa comes up with the goods you'll take me out for a spin!
At first I didn't htink it would work because it had some jibberish in the name section. It seems to have worked!
Looks good T!
I noticed your comments thingy earlier Mr Posh Comments ;-) I haven't bought a tree or anything Christmasy. I meant to buy a little tree but I forgot and now I can't be arsed. If you don't manage to get a tree, there are some fab Christmas lights reduced in Habitat and I think they have tiny pink trees reduced too.... Which reminds me, surely you can get a fake tree?
Ooh, very nice. I would get you one of those Aston Martins, but I don't think it would reach you through the post in time. Anyway, it's the thought that counts.
I love the new look. You get bored quickly, don't ya? :) I am glad to hear that the feelings seem to be mutual about the date. Kudos to you! As for that car...oh my! I have been good Santa, I want one of those with a single look alike from my Friday night. I would be in heaven!!!
Last minute tree shopping sucks. I know because, well, I'm doing it this year and it's only because I didn't want all that snow coming in the house the first time I had the opportunity to get one. Oh well -- c'est la vie.
I do hope things go well with the cute lawyer. She sounds quite different and if my opinion matters -- I like her more for some reason than the blonde recruiter.
My goodness. I'm a fake tree kind of gal because my tree always goes up December 1st, no matter what.
Good luck with Santa on getting that car.
that car has some beautiful lines.
even i want to run my hand down its side.
i have a tree, stuffed behind the couch. it won't be making an appearance this year.
Ha! I want one of those too.
Ginny, it's a deal. Just don't mention it to "the other lot"!
Ruthie... the jibberish seems to be... sporadic. No idea whatsoever why it hasppens.
NML - fake tree????? Actually I have some lovely decs... silver and touquoise, all matching.
Trixy, I don't know what to say. Really.
Sky, you're right, I get bored very easily. I wouldn't get bored with a new Vanquish though!!
UB - thanks, and I know just what you mean. I think this may be a nice interlude in my life of singledom - anything else will be both a bonus and a miracle.
KD, if I get the car I'm driving it to Canada. I promise!
J... errr, what's it doing behind the couch?
FRQSTR - is that you, Blue?
No tree yet? Oh dear, well I hope you find one and don't have to resort to taking a hike in the woods to find your perfect speciman (the tree WDKY...) :-)
Sounds like you have something to look forward to, the date I mean, not the car. As good as I am sure you are, I mean - have been, Santa probably can't get that darn car down your chimney and maybe you don't even have a chimney so he'd have to find some other way to fit it in your homestead. How about something for Christmas that you can drive fast, fits your arse like a soft leather seat, and doesn't break the bank when filling it up with petro? Hmmm, I have a few gifts in mind. :-)
behind the couch as there is storage space there- it just a teeny tree, couple of feet tall.
I hope you found a tree!
Have a great time on your date. How nice to have a new relationship to look forward to.
NWC, I do have chimney, as it happens. I'd like to know what you have in mind... I wonder if it's similar to what I have in mind for you?
Anna, thank you... I'm rather excited about it.
Diggin' the Aston... I've loved Aston Martins ever since I watched James Bond for the first time. And good luck on the tree. I'd send you mine (nifty little bend the branches out fake tree) but it would NEVER arrive in time.
