An unexpected surprise

I received a call early this morning from O, shortly before she and S were due to come round. She asked if she could bring a little surprise along with her... and what could I say? So... meet Millie. I may have lost the custody battle, but it doesn't mean we can't still be friends, does it? Lola's not come in from the garden yet, but when she does I have a feeling that she'll ber singularly unimpressed. I don't think it's going to be pretty!

(Excuse the quality of the photo - it was snapped on my phone, as opposed to my new toy.)

Millie looks very cuddly. I'm guessing Lola's a cat?

OOOOOOOooohhhhh..... She looks like a springer.... What breed, WDKY? She's beautiful. And may Lola be OK with her.

J - very adorable indeed.

Pos, Lola is a cat... scroll down a bit on the main oage and you'll see her too.

Dark, Millie's actually a cocker. And I'm afraid the introduction to Lola went rather badly. I now have two large scratches on my tummy as testament to the fact.

What a gorgeous pup. Great shot and Lola will get over it.

Is that a cocker spaniel? Very cute.

Oh I fear Miss hotsy totsy Lola with her butt in the air is not going to fancy that pretty puppy now.

But, she's a cute lil puppy...I'd keep her too! I wanted a female pup for my dog Dan for Valentine's Day-no such luck gettin' the beagley weagley laid on that hallmark mushy holiday. Ahhh there's always St. Patty's day around the corner....

Whatcha got planned for St Patrick's Day? Ya gotta start thinkin' bout that now....where ya goin' to drink green beer...whose going with you date-wise, will she be willing to take her clothes off if she's drunk...stuff like that.

Have a great day....and I hope Miss Lola isn't spent in a petrified panic all day.

Very handsome dog. Springer Spaniel??
Nice soft fur. And can fetch dinner if you can shoot it out of the sky! What a bargain.

she and Charlie would make a very cute couple

2 tone cocker... Wow. I love the spaniels. How's Lola doing now? Has she called a truce?

Oh, Millie is so cute!!! I had an English Cocker Spaniel when I was growing up, named Muffin, and she was my soul mate in an animal!

I had an Aunt Millie...they have the same hairdo. LOVE how your Millie is smiling for her closeup!

Mille is so cute :)

You need to stop with all the cute pictures so I can have something more intelligent to say than aaaaaaaaaaaaw! Because that's the only "word" that comes to mind when I look at a face like that.

oh goodness! I want to give her a big cuddle :)

So she is. Are they getting along?

What a beautiful puppy.
It says a lot that she would trust you with a puppy. I know that sounds strange, but after a custody battle it seems like her way of saying that she sees you as a nurturer. And a good one at that.

Plus puppies are just fun.
They make you smile... as long as they don't eat your shoes.
