Rumi (my first podcast)

Well... you asked for it. My first podcast, and one for the romantics who read my blog. And, in truth, it might be my last podcast too... we'll see. Anyway, this is either incredibly brave, or incredibly stupid - I guess I'll be forming a view over the next 24 hours. So, having said that, and without further ado...

Brilliant poem-and sexy voice. Your upper class schooling came out :)

I loved the poem and a wonderfully sexy voice...

I can't decide which I like better. Your voice, or the fact that you read poetry. I think I fancy both equally. I'm having fantasies about your voice whispering sweet nothings to me as I drift asleep.

I agree with everyone.

I got to get me a man with an accent *grins*

You could probably tell me to "Piss off" with that voice and I'd still love you....

Sweet Jesus.

You have such a great voice, and I'm a big fan of Rumi myself. Well done. I will be back to visit...

Anon, thanks! But... who are you?

Annalis, I was asked, so... well, it did feel kind of strange.

SOD, I'm really just a working class boy. My father drove a taxi.

Sky, thanks. I was worrying about you today.

NWC, if only... if only. (Sigh...)

KD, it's so strange, becuase of course I don't have an eccent to me.

Sher... mmmm. You're far, far too kind :-)

Danielle - thak you for leaving a comment. You're taste in underwear is perfect.

I am a sky where spirits live.
Stare into this deepening blue,
while the breeze says a secret.

..that's my favorite part.
Read it again.

Hi there my handsome englishman.
Wow. It's been a long, long day, and I came home, logged on, listened and watched sky's video on her post today, practically cried, and then I came here.
I closed my eyes, and listened to your voice tell us the poem.
Sigh.
Thanks, again, for putting me off to bed sweetly.

Goodnight.

BUT

How haunting and yet, how wonderful...

I love the last line about being the sky. Thank you for sharing this.

WDKY said...

Kimmy, that is beautiful, isn't it?

Emerald - glad I helped you get some sleep, and sweetly too. I didn't sleep very well myself, actually...

Check, thanks but I don't know about another one. Unless I have a wdky poetry podcast evey week. Or possibly not :-)

Blondie, thanks and it was a pleasure. On my way to Heathrow as we speak.

Paula, hi, and sorry you don't like British accents alhough you kindly made mine a exception! I'm not that keen on them either.

I'm in the middle of recording my first as well. Unfortunately I do not have speakers here in the office but be sure I will listen tonight.

Also if you don't have Skype you may want to look into it. Through that program I plan on taking calls from people and putting it into the podcast. Email me if you need details.

WDKY said...

I've been meaning to have a look at Skype, KOW... I'll chack it out and see what it can do. Look forward to your podcast too... we have to keep raising the bar - we're seriously outnumbered ;-)

My speakers are rubbish in the office so I will listen at home again but I am planning to do a podcast but debating over the subject matter. What I did hear though was a rather sexy voice that I couldn't quite place the origin of the accent. Nice!

Ok I admit I had to listen twice because the first time, I wasn't even listening to the poem -- I was just so mesmerized by your sexy voice.

The poem was lovely and well, your voice -- I can't say all that much that would actually be allowed here so I'm going to remain silent.

Your right, I'm all for victory through innovation.

Skype is free to download and works great for calling others who have it. Good quality and easy to use.

I saw your using audioblog. Pleased with it so far? I'm considering using them.

Kow, from what I've seen so far, it's flawless. It costs a few dollars a month after the seven-day trial, so I guess you need to be sure you're going to use it. I'll probably do one podcast a week for a while and see how it goes.

UB... well, I'm glad you liked my voice. I'm sure I'd like yours too.

Great poem. Nice to put a voice with the face and tushy! lol Please see me regarding a "list" of phrases I'd like you to record and say to me?! lmao

Excellent WDKY. Really wonderful.

WDKY said...

What would you like me to say, LL... I'm always prepared to go out of my way for the people I feel close to :-)

Nukie, you're very kind. You are the reason I did this, of course.

utterly, utterly beautiful.

and you read it beautifully, too.

Anonymous said...

WDKY, telling you who I am would ruin the whole point of being "anonymous," no?

OK, I'm just a woman in California who, months ago, clicked over from someone else's blog and has been lurking ever since. Nice bum, btw.

WDKY said...

kt, is is beautiful, isn't it? I may post my favourite one today.

Anon... well, I'm flattered. As for my bum, it say's hi too.

Anonymous said...

"As for my bum, it says hi too." That gives all new imagery to "he was talking out his ass!" ;-) MUCH better mental picture now, thank you!

WDKY said...

ROFL! Anon, what time is it over there... shouldn't you be in bed?

Anonymous said...

It's pushing 1:30 AM. I am a horrible night owl. Grad school and single parenthood will do that to you. Tell me what time it is there before I make a stupid comment...lol

Anonymous said...

Whoops. Nice Time/Date stamp. I'm SO observant sometimes. Maybe I should go to bed...

WDKY said...

Well, the time here is 8 hours ahead... there's always a quiet spell through the mornings when all you guys are asleep!

Gald you like the dat stamp... I guess I should really wash it off now ;-)

Oh my holy fucking shit, I finally listened to it, and after hearing your voice read that unbelieveably gorgeous poem, I am in a kind of state that is both peaceful and erotic. If you were here right now, I would say, "no more, come fuck me now."

WDKY said...

Cat, you'd only have to ask once! Thank you :-)
