Kissing

I don't think I'm going to go for my usual kind of post today. Instead, something for those who really understand the importance of the kiss...

The decision to kiss for the first time is the most crucial in any love story. It changes the relationship of two people much more strongly than even the final surrender; because this kiss already has within it that surrender.
-Emil Ludwig-

A kiss is a lovely trick designed by nature to stop speech when words become superfluous.
-Ingrid Bergman-

Da mi bassia mille, deinde centum, dein mille altera. (Give me a thousand kisses, then a hundred, then a thousand more.)
-Catullus-

This kiss, the first real one of my life, seemed more intimate than anything I'd ever experienced.
-Joseph Cotton-

The universe hangs on a kiss, exists in the hold of a kiss.
-Zalman Shneor-

A kiss is like a veil falling from my face, like the sun's radiance as it peers between two clouds. A kiss from your lips is the essence of my life.

Very nice quotes! Awww...I could use one of those kisses. That for some reason just made me incredibly lonely.

I love kissing. I've written about it too :)

I think what you are looking for with GG is symbolized by your feelings about kissing her. A heart-to-heart will probably clear things up--one way or the other.

Take care.

WDKY, you can be a right romantic when you want to be! I love kissing although I don't like when the guy does it so much he won't let me breathe. Typical with me....;-)

There's nothing more erotic and intimate and sensual than a perfect kiss.

The 'kiss'for me is so incredibly difficult at present because it has the power in revealing an intense moment of truth and could be the key I believe to letting go,which im not sure if im yet ready to do. I enjoyed this post :)

Thank you for comments, everyone! It could have been worse, I could have posted one of my poems!

Hi Scrawler! Yep... it's the kissing that goes out the window. Such a shame.

Yes, there is. And - having read your blog, or at least some of it - I happily accept your words as a compliment.

Your site changes daily!!

I like that picture, it works well. Is it supposed to be pixulated? I cant work out if thats the effect you wanted or it was an accident.

Actually, I wanted it pixellated so I reduced the size before I saved it to my image host, and then enlarged it again on the blog itself. It worked nicely.

Do you want to talk about kissing, Claire?

WDKY said...

Ah, that's not a question I could answer... although they certainly both have beautiful lips.

Hmmm... There's just something that a kiss conveys that can't be said in words. The embrace, the heat, the melding... I can't wait to see Tree and practice some more, I don't think my technique is absolutely perfect yet :) It's still new with us... so we get "caught" necking a lot - on the side of the highway, at the overlooks, at the pub, on a walk... I love it. Absolutely sweeps me off my feet. I'm fairly certain that if this feeling could be bottled and sold, we'd have a cure for a lot of what ails us.
